About us

Founded in early 2010, the Mercator Research Center Ruhr (MERCUR) is a joint initiative of Stiftung Mercator and the University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr (UAMR) which comprises the neighboring universities of Bochum, Dortmund, and Duisburg-Essen. MERCUR funds projects which foster inter-university cooperation or strengthen a distinctive research focus area of an individual university within the alliance. more
