Academic Advisory Council

MERCUR is committed to an independent, merit-based decision-making process regarding grant applications. Proposals are generally evaluated by expert peer reviewers. Final funding decisions are made by MERCUR’s Academic Advisory Council. The Council comprises eight renowned researchers from different disciplines who do not have any ties to the Ruhr universities. Its members are:
